Taylor-Nelson LLC has been providing Customized Training services to organizations since 1975. Our trainers are mature, experienced and high energy executives who have lived the "lessons" they teach.

 If you wish, we can assist you to discover what are the organization's or work unit's training needs. A training needs assessment usually results in a more focused training and development effort that can blend with other organization development and change activity.

 We can help you plan a strategic approach to training that utilizes your internal resource people, computer based learning, interactive videos, multimedia, intra and internets, electronic performance support systems, videodiscs, audio and video conferencing, community college and University extension offerings, packaged training products and customized training provided by us. We will work to create a plan that gives you the biggest bang for the buck.

 The needs assessment and plan is based on interviews, documentation reviews, questionnaires, and work process observation.  It explains the concepts for the training components recommended, suggested milestones for work plan achievement, alternatives for providing the training, costs and expected outcomes. If you have an internal person, we work closely with that person to assure maximum utilization of resources. If you want to internalize your training capacity, we train non-trainers how to train and provide them with masters of all our material.

 To make training meaningful we work to assure that the training product will be supported in the organization culture. We use a systems approach to assure that this happens looking at the organization structure, rewards, goals, mission, relationships, leadership and the systems for communication, decision making, problem solving, goal setting, planning, information and performance measurement.

 We are available to coach managers on how to make training pay.  We assist with setting up expectations and an environment where everyone utilizes lessons learned. If there is a labor organization involved we work with their representative to assure that the training is not perceived as working against their interests.
